Karen Crowfoot

Karen grew up in a military family so has had the opportunity to live in many different places and get to know people from all walks of life. She made a commitment to follow Christ at an early age. Karen began swimming competitively at the age of ten and learned perseverance and fortitude during the next six years. During that time, she became a high school All-American by swimming the last leg of the medley relay setting a Colorado high school state record.

Her Christian faith and perseverance has carried her through many trials including a devastating auto accident when she was sixteen resulting in a spinal cord injury and chronic pain. After her accident, she obtained a degree in Speech Pathology and has worked in the field for thirty-two years treating speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. She has great empathy for her patients as she understands the implications of a life-changing event. She can still be found enjoying the pool and swims several days a week. Karen has been married to her husband, Rick, for twenty-five years. Among her greatest privileges has been being mom to two young adults, an outstanding daughter and son.
